My Blogable Weekend
In my last post, I mentioned that some blogable things had happened last weekend and I hadn't yet felt like writing about them. Well my friends, I do now.
On Saturday, my friend Morgan and I went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I made fun of it when I saw the first previews for it, as did Morgan, but then I read several reviews that said how great it was, so I wanted to decide for myself and somehow managed to drag Morgan along. It was really pretty good. The acting was excellent, but be warned, it was a TOTAL chick flick, and the writers/directors were not above pulling all sorts of tear-jerking tricks. It's worth seeing for the gorgeous shots of Greece if nothing else.
After Morgan and I dried our tears and went our separate ways, Jon and I decided to go to Target for some cleaning supplies. While he looked for that stuff, I went to look at clothes. Unfortunately, there weren't too many cute things. I did get this shirt,

that I wasn't sure if I loved or not, but it looked like me and after 4 years of wearing stuff that could be destroyed in art classes and 3 years of ugly work clothes, I recently decided that I needed to rebuild my once adorable wardrobe. So, I went home mostly satisfied with my purchase, cooked a FANTASTIC dinner of Indian Fry Bread Tacos (I will post the recipe some time because they are so delicious and easy to make), hung out with Jon, and went to bed.
When I woke up the next morning, I had a strange deja vu-esque feeling about my new shirt purchase. Then I remembered... I have an almost identical Marc Jacob shirt from last year! Oops! But, after I put them side by side, I realized that they are COMPLETELY different. See?

The shirt on the left ties in the middle and blouses out, while the shirt on the right ties under the bust and has an A-line shape. Even the embroidery on the lower right hand corners of both shirts is about as different as little white stitches can be! Right shirt has a heart and left shirt says "MJ". I mean, could they BE any more dissimilar? I didn't think so either, so I decided that I had better keep the Target shirt, since I originally thought it looked like me. Plus, the more I looked at it with its slightly frumpy fraternal twin, I was reminded of Mary-Kate and Ashley. I was saddened to think of the two of them separated from each other, and thus couldn't bear to split up my two of a kind, but totally different white terry-cloth shirts.
Smell ya later!
