Still there?
In other rather disappointing news, I completely forgot to take pictures of both my gorgeous Hollywood hair, and my adorable Elle Woods costume. It actually works out O.K. for me, because I'm really not that keen on having my photo online. Call me paranoid, but I don't want to end up on hotornot.com (or worse!) without my knowledge. Hopefully this picture of Sarah Jessica Parker's hair will suffice, since it is almost identical to the cut and color of mine, but without the help of a professional, it rarely looks as good as hers does in this photo anyway.
As an added bonus, and to make up for no real pictures, I've included this photo of the components of my Elle costume. You can't really tell from my shaky picture (sorry, I was trying to fend of curious cats with my feet), but Bruiser has a silver sequined collar and pink gossamer leash. And, he's actually the Taco Bell dog (which is so funny since he was then in costume, too!). Also, he sang some weird song if you squeezed his side.

The party was not very much fun as far as parties go, since I had already had to be entertaining and entertained since 10:30 that morning and did not feel like mingling anymore that day, as well as the fact that I could count on one hand the number of people I knew in attendance. However, many guests's costumes were really great and everyone knew who I was immediately. Some of the best costumes were Holly Golightly, Hunter S. Thompson (very appropriate since he was shot into space the day of the party), Willy Wonka, and the Dude (from The Big Lebowski). One of the most fun aspects was the hostess made name tags for everyone's character, so I got one for Bruiser, too.
I've gone to one each of my interior design classes. Surprisingly, I love the historical furniture and architecture class, and am so far, very disappointed by the Intro class. I'm surprised I like the history class so much because it's history, but I guess it's because someone has finally come up with a way to make history interesting! If they would just throw in a little more information on what people wore, I think so many more people would be historians! War, schmor... tell us more about that fabulous settee! Also, the teacher of that class is very nice, knowlegeable, and her lectures are easy to follow, which is a perfect segway into the reason I am so disappointed with Intro to. That teacher "lectured" for the whole 3 hours, which would have been a good thing except for the fact that all we did for 3 whole hours was go over her syllabus, and I still have absolutely NO idea what we will be learning, or what our assignments are going to be. Every 3rd sentence out of her mouth (which REALLY added to the length of the stupid syllabus) was either "I'm a Graduate student at ASU", "I'm from Manhattan/ Jersey/X" (she didn't really seem sure which one it was because each time she mentioned it, it was different) or "I have a documented learning disability over at ASU". She also liked to say "This class is gonna be super hard, tell your friends you will see them in 16 weeks!" To this statement I would beg to differ since from what little information I managed to gather from her "lecture" and "syllabus" it appears we have a total of 5 projects over 16 weeks. I am used to doing about 10 projects in 16 weeks, in addition to 10 other projects in 3 other classes. My plan is to just try to get through her class, since after reading the books and going to the second class, I am like 75% sure this is what I want to do.
In Jon news, he finally bought a replacement scooter. Click here to see what it looks like and read all about it. In an effort to become less attached to my vehicles, I have not yet given it a name (well besides Banana, but Jon didn't like that). He's also been very busy making new sculptures, so hopefully another trip to San Diego is in the works, as well as a way to pay for my classes! :)
In case it is another week before I can blog again, I have added 3 new links to other blogs (in the links section to the right) to give you something new to read. Holly seems to update hers the most frequently for now, but my friends Beth and Ben's, and my brother-in-law Tim's are good reads, too.
Please keep those comments coming, I love them! Dirtboy13, I nearly died laughing at your last comment, and I couldn't agree more. I promise I'll be back soon!
