Happy New Year!!!

I have received numerous compliments about my blog and mad writing skillz in the past week or so, and while I very much appreciated them, I did realize they were mostly thinly veiled attempts to make me post again. Thanks for the reminder! I have a disgusting story to share...

But first of all, my friend Beth of the new and improved Adventures of Beth and Ben website is pregnant!!! She and Ben are very excited. It is their first, and there are cute pictures of her getting bigger here. Hopefully this means they will blog more often! :) I'm also hoping it means Jon and I can make another trip to San Francisco in the future for a baby shower. I like parties!!

Nothing big is going on here. Oh, except that the Mesa Art Center where Jon teaches classes and has a studio is closing on July 1st. Apparently the City of Mesa doesn't understand how to budget and are only a mere $14 million dollars short this year. Also getting the axe... the public library, because people from Mesa aren't already stupid enough. We're kind of mad about this, but it may be a blessing in disguise.

My parents came to visit this weekend and we had a great time eating our way through Tempe. This time our culinary cruise consisted of Riazzi's, The Bamboo Club, Mimi's Cafe, and My Florist Cafe. Yum yum! Fay also bought Sophie the most beautiful maroon dress with a black bow with a rhinestone clasp and buttons. Sophie didn't love it as much as the rest of us did, but overall she was a good sport. Also, if I ever have my long promised tea party, she will be more than welcome to attend, since she will be properly attired. Aaaawwwww!!! She looked ever cuter in person because her eye wasn't demonic.

Jon and I are hoping to visit my parents in the next month or so where we can have a redo New Year's Eve party. My parents throw a fantastic New Year's party and this year all of the regular guests had other plans, such as being in Phoenix. So, my friend Jennifer and I are begging them to have a February New Year's and invite all the great people that no one got to see. Which leads me to my disgusting story...

I had a dream that Jennifer and I were getting ready to go to the fabulous redo party. In my dream I was brushing my teeth. When I spat out the toothpaste in the dream sink, I half woke up and realized that I had actually spat all over my pillow. It was super gross, but funny, and woke me right up!

Hopefully, I'll have more things to talk about soon. Sweet dreams!
