Up With Netflix!

I didn't used to be much of a movie buff. T.V. has always been (and remains to be) my thing. I didn't have the attention span for movies. However, with summer reruns, the 120 degree Phoenix heat, and the relentless mail campaign by Netflix to get me to join, and I finally gave in.

Oh man, I love it! I am now able to catch up on all the movies people would always tell me I just had to see that at the time held no interest (Say Anything (thanks VH1!), Wedding Crashers, 40 Year Old Virgin), which then allows me to participate in group conversations even if they are not about So Notorious or the I Love the 70's, 80's, or 90's VH1 franchise, which I am sad to say is most often the case. Why are you people not watching VH1 24/7?

Anyway, my favorite part is that I am also able to rent movies that I would just DIE of embarrassment if people knew I wanted to see them. Movies like Good Burger, Glitter (haven't received those yet), Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo(that one was EXTREMELY bad, DO NOT watch it), and White Chicks (which is now my favorite movie and I highly recommend it, although the disc was scratched so I only got to watch half). Movies that you would be mortified to let people know you were slightly interested in will arrive at your door without the snide looks of the Blockbuster disc jockeys, patrons, and even your friends if you are careful.

It's also convenient and fairly inexpensive. If you do receive a damaged disc, you just send it back and report that it was damaged and you're not in trouble! Another cool feature is that it will give you recommendations based on movies you have chosen and you can store up to 500 movies in your queue. Right now I have 126. AND you can get TV shows!!! All in all I love it!

Oh, and in case you were worried that all I watch is trash, I would like to recommend Millions and The Baxter, both very good and un-White Chicksy.
